In 2014, Diorio made history as the county's first female County Manager, ushering in an era of progressive leadership. Diorio's exceptional leadership has garnered numerous accolades, including recognition as County Executive of the Year and Businesswoman of the Year. A visionary and trailblazer, she has been instrumental in transforming Mecklenburg County. Her commitment extends beyond administration, encompassing community service through support for education, social equity, and support programs for formerly incarcerated individuals. Diorio's career exemplifies dedicated public service, strategic leadership, and an unwavering commitment to community development and inclusivity. As she concludes her remarkable career, Diorio will join CREW to share invaluable lessons learned throughout her journey, offering insights from her phenomenal lifetime of service.
