Dena R. Diorio, Mecklenburg County Manager, is retiring after a distinguished 35-year career in public administration. In 2014, Diorio made history as the county’s first female County Manager, ushering in an era of progressive leadership. Her tenure has been marked by fiscal responsibility, innovative policies, and effective crisis management, particularly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Diorio’s exceptional leadership has garnered numerous accolades, including recognition as County Executive of the Year and Businesswoman of the Year. A visionary and trailblazer, she has been instrumental in transforming Mecklenburg County. Her commitment extends beyond administration, encompassing community service through support for education, social equity, and support programs for formerly incarcerated individuals. Diorio’s career exemplifies dedicated public service, strategic leadership, and an unwavering commitment to community development and inclusivity. As she concludes her remarkable career, Diorio will join CREW to share invaluable lessons learned throughout her journey, offering insights from her phenomenal lifetime of service.

Bring your Spring/Summer items that no longer fit or just don’t love this season to help support women & children who are survivors of abuse in our community.
