CREW Charlotte’s Emerging Leaders Event (Members Only)

Choate Construction 2907 Providence Road, Charlotte, United States

Join CREW Charlotte for our 2023 Emerging Leaders Event - Women & Investing: Take control of your financial future by planning now! This event is intended for CRE professionals who are 35 years old and under. On average, women earn less over time than men.  This causes the median retirement income of women to be 60% of that for men. Saving early is very valuable and can increase a woman’s chances of having enough to last through her retirement years. Statistically, women outlive men and need a larger nest egg to cover longevity.  They are also more likely to spend their last years alone. When it comes to retirement goals - Women are usually caregivers and don’t invest as much as men. Women are more likely to become single parents earlier in life.  Expenses associated with this need to be considered for successful financial planning. If your employer does not offer a retirement savings plan, save in an individual retirement account and perhaps in after-tax accounts. Safeguard your own needs before deciding to help other family members financially.   Speakers Meaghan GrossBank of America Brenda MillardBank of America Merrill Lynch Taleshia SmithBank of America               Since this event is complimentary, please consider a donation to CREW Network Foundation. CREW Network Foundation is committed to bringing more women into commercial real estate with programs that educate women and girls about the career opportunities available to them and creating mentoring relationships for those new to the industry. When donating in support of their mission, you may choose to dedicate your gift towards a specific scholarship fund, industry research, or career outreach efforts. CREW Charlotte’s goal is that a minimum of 50% of our membership makes a meaningful donation to CREW Network Foundation. Help us reach that goal...
