CREW Charlotte October 2022 Luncheon – Carbon Reduction: Just a “buzz word” or can we make a difference?

Byron's 101 W. Worthington Street, Charlotte, United States

What does carbon reduction mean but more importantly what does it mean to me and the work that I do? Join us on October 11th to learn from two experts from Duke Energy, Ashley Hess and Landon Williams, to learn more about Duke Energy’s Clean Energy Action Plan and an incentive plan that helps companies work towards achieving carbon reduction goals for new construction and building retrofits.   ASHLEY HESS Ashley Hess is a Workplace Strategy Program Manager at Duke Energy responsible for workplace standards across the company’s non-generation real estate portfolio. As an NCIDQ certified interior designer and WELL Accredited Professional, she leads the development and documentation of building construction and furnishing standards to meet the needs of Duke Energy employees, contractors, and the business. In her four years with Duke Energy, she has transformed the programming process for projects, developed real estate’s focus areas for sustainability, led the initial conception of the Duke Energy hybrid work program (WorkSmart), and contributed to over 100 real estate projects including the Duke Energy Plaza in uptown Charlotte.   LANDON WILLIAMS Landon Williams is an energy efficiency and building science expert.  He holds a Master of Science degree from Appalachian State University in Building Science and Renewable Energy and has been working in energy efficiency, including spending time in Construction and Commercial Solar prior to earning his advanced degree.  Landon has been with Duke Energy since 2013 where he has held several different positions in the energy efficiency group beginning his tenure as a Trade Ally Outreach Representative, then becoming a Business Energy Advisor.  He is currently the Program Manager for the SmartPath program and additionally manages the Trade Ally Outreach team.   Byron's 11:15 a.m. - Networking 11:45 a.m. - Luncheon Meeting $55 Members/$80 Guests     2023 Board Slate Attention...
