Habitat for Humanity ReStore Day with CREW Charlotte – July 2025

CREW Charlotte has an exciting upcoming volunteer opportunity at the Habitat Charlotte Region ReStore! Please see details and registration instructions below.

WHEN: July 25, 2025 from 9 am – 12 pm

WHERE: 1133 North Wendover Road

WHO: CREW Members (no one under the age of 16

WHAT: Volunteer groups typically help unload donated household items, organize and clean the donations, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, and assist customers with carry-outs after purchase.

HOW MANY: 15 volunteers (as people register the site will inform you of how many spots are still available.

TASK Help unload donated household items, organize, and clean the donations, place the items on the sales floor, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, and assist customers with carry-outs after purchase

AGE REQUIREMENT No one under 16 is permitted on the work site. However, certain tasks (namely roof work) require volunteers to  be 18 or older. If you are unsure about this shift’s age requirement, please refer back to the shift listing or contact HFHCR Volunteer Services.
WAIVER INFORMATION If a volunteer registers him/herself for the shift via HFHCR’s online registration system, he/she does not need to fill out a seperate waiver. However, If a HFHCR staff member or a group leader registered on his/her behalf, please have the volunteer fill out a waiver beforehand or upon arrival to site. 16 & 17 YEAR OLD VOLUNTEERS: In addition to the waiver, which is read & electronically signed during the online registration system, all 16 & 17 year olds must print the Release of Liability Minor Waiver

and have it completed by a parent/legal guardian. The form should be brought the day of the shift.

Drinking water and all necessary tools & safety equipment will be provided by HFHCR. Closed-toed footwear (work boots or athletic sneakers only) is required. We recommend bringing your own work gloves, if available. Lunch is not provided by HFHCR.
The HFHCR staff makes every effort to keep build schedules on track. However, due to occasional inclement weather and necessary adjustments to house schedules, your group’s task is subject to change.

INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1: Go to the Habitat Charlotte Region Group Shift Search link: https://habitatcltvolunteers.force.com/apex/VolunteerGroupSearch
STEP 2: Enter your group ID number (above)
STEP 3: Check the box next to the group name; Click “SELECT”
STEP 4: On the Volunteer Group Shift Search page, click “SEARCH” and your team’s scheduled shift(s) will appear. Choose the desired shift(s) and click “SELECT”
STEP 5:
NEW USER/VOLUNTEER: Click “New User” to be prompted to create a new account.
EXISTING USER/RETURNING VOLUNTEER: Your volunteer account email is your username.  If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a new one by clicking “Forgot Your Password?”Please note:  Our database has upgraded its security.  You must use Windows 7 or newer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.   
POST-REGISTRATION DETAILS After completing the registration, the shift and details will appear on the volunteer’s account. An automated confirmation email with full shift details will be sent to each registrant. A reminder email will also be sent.
