Hi Patty,

The “CREW Women Build Volunteer Team” is officially scheduled for the Habitat construction shift detailed below. Registration instructions are also provided. Please relay to your team members and begin registration unless advised otherwise. A Habitat staff member will be in touch 1-2 weeks prior to the shift to discuss registration numbers.

TASK Volunteers will paint the interior walls and trim of this newly constructed house!
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16 & older.

AGE REQUIREMENT No one under 16 is permitted on the work site. However, certain tasks (namely roof work) require volunteers to  be 18 or older. If you are unsure about this shift’s age requirement, please refer back to the shift listing or contact HFHCR Volunteer Services.
WAIVER INFORMATION If a volunteer registers him/herself for the shift via HFHCR’s online registration system, he/she does not need to fill out a hardcopy of the Standard Release of Liability Form (it will have been read and electronically signed). However, If a HFHCR staff member or a group leader registered on his/her behalf, please have the volunteer fill out a hardcopy  waiver beforehand or upon arrival to site. ALL volunteers should sign the sign-in sheet to confirm attendance.

16 & 17 YEAR OLD VOLUNTEERS: In addition to the aforementioned waiver, which is read & electronically signed during the online registration system, all 16 & 17 year olds must print the Release of Liability for Minors Form and have it completed by a parent/legal guardian. The form should be brought the day of the shift.

Drinking water and all necessary tools & safety equipment will be provided by HFHCR. Closed-toed footwear (work boots or athletic sneakers only) is required. We recommend bringing your own work gloves, if available.   Lunch is not provided by HFHCR.

The HFHCR staff makes every effort to keep build schedules on track. However, due to occasional inclement weather and necessary adjustments to house schedules, your group’s task is subject to change. You will be notified by email if anything has to change.

INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1: Go to the Habitat Charlotte Region Group Shift Search link: https://habitatcltvolunteers.force.com/apex/VolunteerGroupSearch
STEP 2: Enter your group ID number (above)
STEP 3: Check the box next to the group name; Click “SELECT”
STEP 4: On the Volunteer Group Shift Search page, click “SEARCH” and your team’s scheduled shift(s) will appear. Choose the desired shift(s) and click “SELECT”
STEP 5:

NEW USER/VOLUNTEER: Click “New User” to be prompted to create a new account.

EXISTING USER/RETURNING VOLUNTEER: Your volunteer account email is your username.  If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a new one by clicking “Forgot Your Password?”

 

Please note:  Our database has upgraded its security.  You must use Windows 7 or newer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.   

POST-REGISTRATION DETAILS After completing the registration, the shift and details will appear on the volunteer’s account. An automated confirmation email with full shift details will be sent to each registrant. A reminder email will also be sent.
