The Authentic Leadership Committee guides the development and execution of our annual leadership program. The Committee is open to past graduates of the Authentic Leadership Program, and due to the timing of the program, requires a two year commitment. Our is intentional outreach to recruit a diverse group of female professionals for our program. Our committee works closely with our Program Director, Dr. Dawn Chanland, to ensure each session delivers a valuable experience for program participants. In addition, we keep the program alumni connected through continued learning, meet-ups, and volunteering opportunities.

The Communications Committee provides timely and relevant information to our membership and informs non-member commercial real estate professionals as well as the Charlotte community about the value of our organization. This committee manages and promotes CREW Charlotte’s public relations and media efforts through the use of social media platforms. This committee manages the organization’s social media program by interacting with other CREW committees to ensure CREW Charlotte’s events, activities and members recognitions are reported to the media and our member base. If you love the inside scoop and have good writing, social media, or marketing skills, this committee is for you!

Meets the third Thursday of the month from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Primax Properties.

The Global Network & Initiatives Committee is focused on connecting CREW Charlotte members with CREW Network by promoting national networking, business, philanthropic and educational opportunities with CREW Network and other CREW Chapters. The goals of this committee are to educate members of CREW Network benefits, increase our member participation on CREW Network committees and in the annual CREW Foundation ask, increase our member attendance at the annual CREW Convention and facilitate the promotion of CREW Foundation scholarships to public and private universities throughout the Carolinas.

This committee has a sub committee which focuses on initiatives such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) which is critical to advancing CREW Charlotte’s goals to increase diversity, equity and inclusion within the membership and leadership.  The DEI Task Force will provide valuable insight, resources, opportunities for conversation, and actionable strategies to assist in accomplishing the organization’s strategic objectives.

The Member Recognition Committee was formed to recognize CREW Charlotte members for their expertise, influence, and contributions to the commercial real estate industry. We accomplish this through award nominations in areas of member longevity, professional achievement, community involvement, industry success, and innovation. This committee nominates CREW members for over 100 local, regional, and national awards per year, in addition to submitting nominations for the CREW Network Awards and the year-end CREW Charlotte Excellence Awards that are celebrated at the December luncheon. We also recognize our members that serve as speakers, analysts, and moderators at industry events and panels, as well as those that serve as judges for local and national awards. This committee is especially effective for members who are promotion-minded and enjoy helping other CREW members obtain much-deserved recognition.

The Membership Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that CREW Charlotte maintains its status as the most influential commercial real estate networking organization in Charlotte, North Carolina. It does this by promoting members’ satisfaction and by recruiting high profile professionals in commercial real estate. This committee offers an Ambassador program for new members, hosts new member events, and greets attendees at all of our monthly luncheons and follows up with guests. The Programs Committee organizes monthly luncheon programs that focus on commercial real estate issues and trends. These innovative and relevant programs keep our members on the forefront of the commercial real estate industry while meeting movers and shakers from the Charlotte region. This committee also organizes the annual Keynote Speaker event as well as fun and educational CREW Before Hours networking events throughout the year. If you like planning and executing high quality events, this committee is for you!

Meets the second Wednesday of the month from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Grubb Properties

The Special Events Committee is responsible for CREW Charlotte’s signature fundraising events, including the Committee Fair, Gaming Night, Alphabet Soup Networking Event, Pickleball, and our Online Auction.

100% of the proceeds from all of these events and the auction go towards scholarships for students in fields of commercial real estate with CREW Network Foundation, Johnson C. Smith University, Queens University of Charlotte, UNC Charlotte, and Winthrop University.

The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for obtaining sponsorship funding for the year from the local business community. We are proud of the companies who support our organization and we take seriously our commitment to support and promote them at every opportunity available throughout the year. In addition to obtaining chapter sponsors, this committee is responsible for ensuring that our sponsors are receiving all the benefits associated with their sponsorship. The committee also hosts two annual sponsorship appreciation events.
