April Virtual Luncheon - CREW SHARES: Helping Area Non Profits from Home During the COVID-19 Crisis

April 21, 2020 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Charlotte’s DO GOOD Week takes place April 19-25 (and coincides with National Volunteer Week).

What if we took the same $40 we would have paid to attend the April CREW luncheon and applied it to a local nonprofit in need? SHARE Charlotte has made it really easy to do so with its #SHAREfromhome initiative and on April 21 at noon, we’ll hear from their leadership about how small amounts are making a huge impact during these times of COVID-19.

While we won’t make you donate to participate, we hope you will consider it your form of “registration” and then send us your story to highlight both on the call and social media.

Here’s how:

1) Give directly to a SHARE Charlotte partner in need or purchase from COVID-19-related items on their Amazon Wish Lists

2) With subject line “CREW SHARES,” email colleen@branstorm.com and nicole@sharecharlotte.org completing this sentence: I supported #SHAREfromhome by… (Examples: ...donating my $40 luncheon fee to Crisis Assistance Ministry or ...purchasing $40 worth of dog food for the Humane Society CLT)

3) When you send, make sure to include any social handles (Twitter, IG and LinkedIn) which will double as your permission for CREW CLT and SHARE CLT to highlight your good deed on these channels.

Here’s an example from our fearless leader, Robin Turner:

@robinmonroeturner supported #sharefromhome by making a donation to Ronald McDonald House @rmhofcharlotte in place of the @crew.charlotte monthly luncheon. “RMH does so much to support families who must be in #Charlotte for life-giving treatment during illness, being able to convert my April lunch registration fee into something life-giving makes me smile.”
