SUMMARY:2026 Mentor Program Applications Due!
DESCRIPTION:Applications Now Being Accepted for the 2026 Mentor Program!\n  \nCREW Charlotte’s mission is to influence the success of the commercial real estate industry by advancing the achievements of its members. CREW Charlotte helps implement this by providing a mentor program. This 12 month mentor program aims to support aspiring CREW members and sponsors as well as experts in the industry wanting to give back. \n  \nThe model is basic – pairing both a mentee and seasoned real estate professional’s unique capabilities\, goals\, and strengths with one another. CREW members and sponsors are eligible for both mentor and mentee opportunities.   CREW Charlotte will assign a CREW member\, called a Mentor Champion\, to support each relationship’s progress and success by being a resource. \n  \nSuccess in today’s commercial real estate environment demands innovation and strategic thinking\, balanced with action born from experience and hard work. Our members recognize that it takes skill to navigate a successful career in an industry where women are a visible minority. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQ’s\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho can apply? \nAs a CREW member or sponsor\, you can apply to become a mentor or a mentee. To participate as a mentee\, you must be an active CREW member or work for a sponsor company. Non-CREW members can serve as mentors to allow maximum pairing of unique mentee needs. \n  \nWhat is the time commitment? \nThe Mentor Program requires a time commitment of 12 months. During this time period\, the mentor and mentee will set up a mutually agreed-upon communication timeline. This timeline is a requirement that the pairing speak at least once per month\, with six of these engagements being in person. \n  \nHow do I apply? \nClick here to fill out the CREW Charlotte 2026 Mentee Application \nClick here to fill out the CREW Charlotte 2026 Mentor Application \n  \nWhat will I have to guide me through the process? \nCREW Charlotte will provide each pairing with a Mentor Program Handbook. This will serve as a basis to establish an understanding of goals\, expectations\, mutual communication timeline\, and background information about each person. Based on the agreed-upon focus of each pairing\, more tailored resources will be provided. \n  \nWhat will the Mentor Champion do? \nThis person will review the initial handbook to be sure all items are addressed. They will then meet with the mentor and mentee at the 6-month mark to review the relationship. She or he will also check in on each person periodically to receive feedback.

SUMMARY:CREW Charlotte's 2025 Signature Luncheon with Captain Sandy Yawn of Below Deck Mediterranean
DESCRIPTION:Captain Sandy Yawn\nSuperyacht Captain and Series Lead on “Below Deck Mediterranean” \n  \n \nLeadership Lessons from Captain Sandy of Bravo’s Below Deck: Navigating Troubled Waters in Changing Times \nCaptain Sandy captured our attention as the first female superyacht captain on Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean\, and her fascinating stories hold leadership lessons for today’s live and virtual audiences. Through 30+ years of international maritime experience\, Captain Sandy has broken glass ceilings\, survived near-fatal accidents on land and pirates and fires at sea. Most business leaders will never have such life-or-death challenges in their daily work. But surviving stormy seas has taught Captain Sandy many invaluable lessons on such timeless leadership principles as inspiring your crew\, that failure is ok\, and empowering your team to accomplish their “win” together “in the same boat.” Enduring a voyage on a 154-foot vessel requires discerning when to be tough enough to stay the course or flexible enough to circumnavigate to calmer waters – decisions all leaders are faced with every day. Throughout her career\, Captain Sandy has lived by the mantra\, “Wake up\, Show up\, Kick Ass\, Repeat!” \n  \nBio \nCaptain Sandra Yawn (“Captain Sandy”) is a leader\, hero and businesswoman whose exceptional leadership style has helped her to break through every obstacle in her path – from the glass ceilings and near-fatal accidents on land to pirates and fires at sea! \nAs a renowned superyacht captain with over 30 years of international maritime experience\, Yawn’s integrity and courage have earned her an outstanding reputation as an elite class of captain. Her unflappable leadership in the face of danger earned her recognition from the International Superyacht Society\, who honored her with the prestigious Distinguished Crew Award for the bravery she exhibited in the midst of a catastrophic fire and pirate threat that occurred in 2006 off the coast of Yemen. \nTapping into her signature affinity for adventure\, Yawn charted a brand new course in 2015 when she became a series lead on Bravo’s hit series Below Deck Mediterranean. Now in her fifth season with the show\, Yawn is a powerful female role model and leader and one of the network’s most universally beloved personalities. \nWith a story of overcoming her own personal struggles\, including being a cancer survivor\, Yawn shares with audiences how to be resilient and persevere in the face adversity\, along with her exceptional leadership principles of believing in your people\, not giving up and it being ok to fail—that help build a world class crew you can trust and believe in. \n  \nTuesday\, May 13\, 2025\nThe Revelry\n11:00 a.m. – Networking\n11:30 a.m. – Luncheon \n$150 Members/$200 Guests\n$2\,000 Table Host (reserved table of 8) \n  \nRegister Now\n  \nThank You to Our Presenting Sponsor\n \nThank You to Our Supporting Sponsors\n \n \n \nAdditional Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available!
